Water.
I take it for granted every day.
Until I went to Peru.
We had to drink bottled water.
One night our hotel had a water problem and the hot water was off.
These things reminded me how important clean water is.
I am thankful that I can turn on the tap, fill up a glass of water and drink it, safely.
I am thankful that I can turn on the shower, stand under the hot water and know that it will run as long as I want it to.
Thank You, Lord, for water!

Coming from Australia, the land of not-enough-water and floods, I don't take water for granted. I shudder when Japanese run the water in the sink for the entire time of their washing up. When we were on home assignment there were serious water restrictions, no car washing, no garden watering except between certain times on certain days, no sprinklers on lawns and certainly no showers-for-as-long-as-you-want-them. Water is indeed precious and worth giving thanks for!
